As Thanksgiving approaches, we’re reminded of the many reasons we’re thankful. Here at AME International, we’ve spent November celebrating a special group of people who keep us moving – our tire technicians. In the spirit of gratitude, we put out a call on social media to #ThankATech, inviting you to shout out the techs in your life who work tirelessly to keep the world rolling. And wow, the response has been incredible!

Social Success

For one post, we received nearly 50 heartfelt comments from our social media community, sharing stories of hard work, dedication, and even family legacy. The stories from our tire technician families reinforce what we already knew: tire techs are the backbone of the tire service industry. Every day, these skilled professionals face significant risks – from the handling of high-pressure tires to managing complex, heavy-duty equipment. With just one mistake, a technician’s life can be in danger. This is why safety is at the core of everything we do here at AME. When we equip techs with safe, reliable tools and knowledge, we’re giving them more than just a wrench or a jack – we’re giving them the peace of mind they deserve.

Each week this month, we have continued to highlight the hardworking techs who keep us moving forward, sharing their stories and their impact. Earlier in the month, we introduced Dave and Elwyn Webb, a father-and-son team from Fort Plain, NY. Dave started Hill Top Tire with a single service truck in 1990, and after years of learning the trade alongside his father, Elwyn took the reins, expanding their fleet to five trucks on the road today. Stories like theirs show how tire techs aren’t just employees – they’re family. They work side-by-side, pass down skills across generations, and share a deep bond with their communities.
